LAURENSIA YAP

The brief of the competition was to create a pop-up bazaar for an area in front of Yenikapi Station, Istanbul, which is currently empty. The final design focuses on a combination of traditional and modern bazaar layouts, the use of textile as a fluid material, and human interactions as the main experience on the site. Not only that it will be a multi-purpose space but it is also comprised of modular sheds that can be easily changed according to the user’s needs.
